Born and raised in Yucaipa, CA, Coach Trevor was a key member of the Yucaipa High School 2008 CIF Division l and National Championship Swim Team. During that span, Trevor won the 200 IM and 100 Breastroke events, breaking the 200 IM record previously held by 3-time Olympian Aaron Piersol. That success set the stage for an accomplished collegiate swim career at Cal Berkeley, where as a highly-coveted recruit, Coach Trevor would spend the next 4 years earning numerous accolades, including:

  • NCAA Division l Qualifier all 4 Years
  • Member of the 2011 and 2012 Cal Berkeley NCAA National Championship Team
  • Member of the 2010 and 2013 Cal Berkeley NCAA 2nd Place Team
  • Cal Berkeley 2012 Record Holder in 200 Breaststroke (1:51.90)
  • Member of the 2013 200 Medley Relay American Record-Setting Relay Team
  • 7th Place at 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials 200M Breaststroke (Ranked 25th in the World)

Coach Trevor's commitment to swimming is both unique and vast: "I have a different approach to coaching than most others. I leverage my knowledge to help get through to athletes. Step one is all about building those impactful relationships with parents and athletes. I find people will listen more about what you have to say after you show them how much you care. It also makes coaching and competing much more fun-- a strict guideline: of mine: 'Always have fun!' After that trust has been established, I apply my education. You will always hear me talk about swimming through the lens of anatomy and physiology. Specifically, Newton’s Laws of Motion. I am honored to be joining the coaching staff at Paseo Aquatics-- a team that shares my coaching values and philosophies. I am also very excited to learn from my fellow coaches, as well as bring my strengths to help grow and develop the team. Ironically, I’ve always had a desire to don a black and gold cap. Now I get to wear it with purpose."
