2018 FINA OPEN WATER CLINIC FOR TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
CAYMAN ISLANDS
11 JUNE - 18 JUNE 2018
Dear members,

We will be hosting a clinic for open water officials from 11 to 18 June 2018,  in conjunction with the Flowers Sea Swims and the UANA Open Water Championships.

We do anticipate that clinic participants may not be able to attend the sessions all week.  We know a number of you are already committing to the success of the Flowers Sea Swim Week. We would like to encourage you to make the schedule work for you.  We do, however, recommend that first time officials attend all the classroom sessions.

The classroom sessions will be held at the Governors Square Board Room , on the beach side, 2nd  floor, over the walk through.

Technical meetings will be held in the Dart Conference room on the third floor of the Dart building. Federations teams are required to have an official(s) in attendance. A van will be provided from the UANA Federation Hotel to the meeting site for Federation team officials. Please note the van will leave the hotel at 1:00 PM.

Race reviews will be at the race start and finish zone, the location in that particular area to be determined by Mr. Ryther at the time of the meeting.

FINA school officials are encouraged to attend and sit in on the technical meetings held for the participants;  however this is not a requirement.

The 2018 FINA Clinic in Grand Cayman has been designed around the opportunity to gain both classroom knowledge and practical experience. Participants will have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple roles over the course of the Flowers Sea Swims and UANA Open Water Championships.

Please find in the link enclosed the schedule.

Please email [email protected] and [email protected] for any further queries and for registration.
There is no cost to the clinic.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Chilian Wong-Ellison
CIASA Secretary
