Home School Swim 

*Please note that these are not swim lessons.*

Excel offers a program specifically for home schooled athletes at both the Brentwood ISC and the Longview Rec Center. This program is open to students enrolled in grades 1-12.

The Home School program is a non-competitive group that is geared towards swimmers who want to get or stay in competitive shape by learning the most up to date competitive techniques. It can also be a transition from summer league to Excel's competitive year-round team.   High School Swimmers can receive a P.E. credit for participating in this program.

Brentwood and Longview Homeschool programs will run sessions from Sept - Dec 2025 and Jan - April 2026.  Registration will open on July 15, 2025 at 10:00am CST.  Information for the 2024-2025 season for each location is below.

* Skills Requirements

  • Beginner - Swim 25 yards freestyle, face in the water, and 25 yards backstroke, remaining in horizontal position.
  • Intermediate - Swim 25 yards of both Freestyle and Backstroke, and have a working knowledge of Breaststroke and Freestyle.
  • Advanced - Swim 50 yards of Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke.
