Selection Process

• 10 athletes per gender and age group will be selected
  • Girls and Boys 10 & Under, 11-12, and 13-14 – for a total of 60 athletes.
  • Athletes will be selected based on the age they will be on the first day of the meet (1/10/25), NOT the age they are when they achieved their time.
• Selection will be based only on the short course yards (SCY) events contested at the All Star meet for each age group:
  • 10 & Under = 50, 100, 200 Free; 50, 100 Back; 50, 100 Breast; 50, 100 Fly; 100, 200 IM
  • 11-12 = 50, 100, 200, 500 Free; 50, 100 Back; 50, 100 Breast; 50, 100 Fly; 100, 200 IM
  • 13-14 = 50, 100, 200, 500 Free; 100, 200 Back; 100, 200 Breast; 100, 200 Fly; 200, 400 IM
  • Only times achieved between September 1, 2025 and December 8, 2025 (Pioneer Open Meet) will be considered for selection.   ALL times achieved at a USA Swimming sanctioned event that within this timeline will be considered.  They need not be achieved at a meet held in Colorado.
• Athletes with the top time in an event for their gender and age group will be automatically invited.   The remainder of the spots per gender/age group will be selected using a high point system:
  • ​ Using the USA Swimming national database, top times will be obtained and athletes will be given points based on where their times fall in the list for that event (example: using a top 30 times list per event – the top time will receive 30 points, the 2nd time will receive 29 points, the 3rd will receive 28, etc. down to the 30th time receiving 1 point).
