Membership

USA Swimming requires that all participants are members of their LSC and USA Swimming. In order to be on deck, an official must be current on Athlete Protection (APT), Background Check, Concussion Training, and Qualified for the position being worked. 

To check your status, log onto your USA Swimming Account. It is recommended that you print a copy of your membership card to present at all meets.

Attire

A neat, clean, professional appearance must be given at all times. Officials shall wear:

• White tops
• Navy blue bottoms (no denim/jeans)
• White socks and shoes (no crocs, sandals, flip-flops)
• Advertising should be restricted to the swimsuit limitations in article 102.9.3a

Travel Reimbursement

To encourage Niagara Swimming officials to participate in National/International level meets and Officials Qualifying Meets (OQMs) outside of and within the Niagara LSC in order to enhance the local level of officiating, Niagara officials may be reimbursed for qualifiying expenses. Full Policy
