When it comes to weight loss, what you drink may be more important than what you eat, according to researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Researchers examined the relationship between beverage consumption among adults and weight change and found that weight loss was positively associated with a reduction in liquid calorie consumption and liquid calorie intake had a stronger impact on weight than solid calorie intake. Here is our Summer '09 meet schedule. Please keep one for your fridge and fill one out and hand it in to your coach. The summer schedule can also be found under the events tab located at the top of the screen.

The upcoming meet at The Pine Crest School has been changed from April 24-26 to April 17-19. We need to know if you are intrested in attending no later than Tuesday, April 7th. If you have already signed up and are unable to attend due to the date change, you can take your name off the list the same way you signed up.

Short course Junior Olympics was held March 26-29 at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex and the performance by the PST Piranahs was amazing. Eight new team records were set and as a team, PST swam to almost 70% lifetime best times! NEW TEAM RECORDS: Fatimah Westbrook 50 free (27.32), 50 Breast (34.01), 100 Breast (1:14.48) missing the FGC record by only .08 of a second and qualifying for Sectionals at 10 years old!! PST proved that we do indeed own Sunday, with Jessie Randolph and Natalya Wozab both finaling in 3 individual events each. Jessie finished 2nd in both the 200 IM (2:10.40) and the 100 Breast (1:09.08) and took 3rd in the 100 Free (53.05). Natalya finished 9th in both the 100 Free (1:07.11) and 100 Breast (1:27.35) and 5th in the 100 Back (1:16.01). Finaling in 2 events were Ryan Witcher, Courtney Randolph and Sivan Fraiman. The Randolph sisters continued their JO dominance with Jessie winning both the 200 Breast (2:24.82) and the 500 Free (5:02.75).
