Senior Championships: Saturday
Saturday GTSA’s Senior Championships swimmers competed in the 50 Freestyle, 200IM, 100 Backstroke, and the 500 Freestyle. GTSA did not dissapoint in the shortest event of the weekend with great swims from Tyler Heath (23.06), Ally Donahue (25.47), Emma Donahue (26.31), Jeremy Parker (22.12), and Giakomo Rosso (22.66). The 200 IM’s went even better for the ladies where Ally and Emma Donahue touched the wall in 13 and 15 places respectively earning themselves a chance to swim in the finals. Carter Flynn touched the wall in 2:15, while both Margaret and Mary Margaret finished with times of 2:20. Carter also went a final time of 1:02.40 in the 100 backstroke. The men had some great backstrokes Tyler Heath 56.70, Jeremy Parker 57.33 and Giakomo Rosso 57.96 all went personal bests. Mary Margaret finished the day with a strong swim in the 500 Freestyle.
In the finals Ally and Emma finished 14 and 16 earning GTSA 4 points on the day. After 3 days GTSA is holding on to a spot in the top 30. Action will continue on Sunday.
