GTSA Heats Up at the GCST Summer Open

          This past weekend a solid contingent of GTSA swimmers made the short trip down to Ft. Meyers to participate in the GCST Summer Open. Before the meet even began one swimmer said, "I swim better when I stay in a hotel." From the look of the results that must be the case for a majority of the team. The team had well over 50% best times including 100% best times from Lindsey Meyer, andSidney Whitfield. While multiple other swimmers only added time in 1 or 2 events. In a meet that had 27 teams ranging from Florida to Illinois, GTSA finished 9th with 96 points. It was a great meet full of fast swims and fun times away from home with teamates. GTSA will return to action on July 6th in St. Petersburg.

          Also something you may have missed. Last weekend, on her way to Gator Swim Camp, Sophie Sanchez particpated in the Sunshine State Games. Sophie was able to acheive her first FLAG cut in the 100 Freestyle. Congrats Sophie!!
