GTSA to be Well Represented at FHSAA State Finals
This Thursday-Saturday the best high school swimmers in the state of Florida will convene on the YMCA in Orlando. GTSA will have eight different swimmers representing four different area schools.
The weekend kicks off with 2A on Thursday. Margaret Shumake and Julia Cogdill will both represent Academy of Holy Names. Margaret will swim the 200 IM and 100 BR, while Julia will swim the 100BR.
Friday will be 3A’s turn in the pool. This meet will include Alexandria Donahue, Emma Donahue, Carter Flynn, and Tyler Heath representing Plant High School, while Blaise Genne will be representing Newsome. Alexandria, Emma, and Blaise will swim the 100 BR, Carter will participate in the 100 BK, while Tyler will double up in the 200IM and 100FL.
The weekend concludes on Saturday with the 1A meet. Gregory Campo will represent Tampa Prep in the 100 FL and BK.
A majority of these swimmers will also participate in relays, but since relays can be changed up till the time of the event it is too early to predict who you will see where.
