GTSA Tames "Rowdy Cup"

           Over the weekend GTSA kicked off their long course season at the “Rowdy Cup” in Winter Haven, FL.  The team was represented well by 40 swimmers, participating in events chosen by the coaching staff!  When the two and a half day meet had concluded GTSA had amassed 197 points, which was good enough for a 6^th place finish it a meet that had 20 teams.  We had 18 different swimmers finish in the top 8 in 1 or more events, scoring points for the team, including Ally Donahue who finished 3^rd in the Senior High Point Race.

                Best times seemed to be coming on a pretty regular basis with the team achieving a best time percentage of 73 on the weekend.  The team showed great toughness performing so well in a length pool that very few of them had seen in a long while.  The team will hit the pool again in a couple of week at the Peacock Invitational hosted by Brandon.
