GTSA is Lights Out at Midnight Madness
This past weekend GTSA sent 12 swimmers to Jacksonville, FL to participate in Episcopal AmberJAX Midnight Madness. Although the team may have been small in numbers, GTSA’s presence was hard to miss in the results. There we 26 different times when a GTSA swimmer finished in the top 3 in an individual event, as well as 2 first place relays. Greg Campo(2), Carter Flynn, Margret Shumake(2), and Morgan Tankerlsey(7) all won at least one event. Reagan Flynn had a spectacular meet, being the only GTSA
swimmer to go 100% best times. Reagan hit the pool six times, and six times finished with a best time. Two of those swims also led to new FLAG cuts.
It was a wonderful weekend away from GTSA’s normal area. Everyone had a great time swimming fast and relaxing with family and teammates. GTSA will return to action in June with two meets, first one day meet at Berkeley, and then a three day prelim/final meet in Largo!
