GTSA Chomps Their Way to Best Times at Gator Invite

                GTSA took nine swimmers to compete against the best the state of Florida has to offer over this past weekend.  The meet was held at The University of Florida’s O-Dome and consisted of close to 900 swimmers from Florida and beyond.  GTSA compiled 86.5 points over the three day meet good for 17^th place in the 50 team meet.

                Four different GTSA swimmers finished in the top 8 in at least one of the events in which they competed including:  Regan Flynn twice (50BK, 100BK), Felipe Manzo three times (100Fl, 50Fr, 100Fr), Gabby Donahue five times (50Fl, 100Fl, 50Br, 50Fr, 100IM), and Morgan Tankersley seven times (50Fr, 100Fr, 200Fr, 500Fr, 200Bk, 200IM, 400IM).

                The team finished the weekend with 89% best times including 100% from Gabby  Donahue, Regan Flynn, Reese Friar, Jackson Smith, Morgan Tankersley, and Sidney Whitfield.  Being this close to 90% best times for a team at one meet is almost unheard of!  This is a great testament to the work put in by these 9 athletes.  Be sure to congratulate them whenever you see them at the pool!
