Donahue Represents GTSA at Junior Nationals

                   This past weekend the best 18&U swimmers in America congregated in Greensboro, NC to compete in the “2013 Short Course Junior Nationals.”  Ally Donahue, attending her impressive third Junior Nationals, represented GTSA in three individual events.  She participated in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and the 200 Breaststroke, earning herself a second swim in the 100 Breaststroke. 

                On the Sunday following the meet USA Swimming hosted a long course time trial event for those swimmers looking to record times in that discipline.  Ally took full advantage of the opportunity posting a 1:13 in the 100 Breaststroke.  This gives her the “B” Qualifying Time for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.  Although nothing is set in stone, this time will more than likely earn a trip to London this coming summer!  Make sure to congratulate her when you see her!
