GTSA Strives Through the weekend at GTSA's TYR Championship

The GTSA TYR Championship Swim Meet was as successful as the weather permitted! The parents and volunteers played a MAJOR part in another successful GTSA meet! 

 

Friday night we had some swimmers getting out of their comfort zone to compete in new, longer events. Saturday the swimmers had a blast starting their day off with relays! Relays took them into some fast individual races that led quite a few swimmers to Personal Bests and/or Finals. Due to the unfortunate weather, we were able to complete half of Saturday & Sunday Finals. During that time Personal Best times were achieved AGAIN. 

 

The Saturday 10 & under session went by just as fast as they swam! Luckily the 8u swimmers completed all of their events this day, as Sunday the 10u session had to be cancelled due to the inconvenient weather. 

 

Congratulations to the swimmers who achieved a new personal best time in EVERY EVENT they completed this weekend!

The GTSA Coaching staff is extremely thankful to have been able to host this swim meet, and allow other teams to participate, as many teams outside of Florida are still restricted in their swim meet access. We could not have done this without the parents and volunteers!
