Berkeley Aquatics Time Trial Recap, February 22nd

The Greater Tampa Area Swim Association recently competed at the Last Chance Time Trial hosted by Berkeley Aquatic Club. The GTSA swimmers continued to shine from the previous weekend at Berkeley. The last chance swim meet is offered to swimmers who are trying to make qualifying times for upcoming spring championship meets. The following GTSA swimmers participated with the results next to their name.

11-12 Girls, 100 yard Backstroke - 1st Place

11-12 Girls, 50 yard Backstroke, - 1st Place (1.41 time improvement)

11-12 Girls, 50 yard Butterfly, 5th Place (1.41 time improvement)

Boys, 100 yard Freestyle - 1st place (2.25 time improvement)

Boys, 50 yard Freestyle - 1st place (1.19 time improvement)

Boys, 50 yard Butterfly - 1st place (0.39 time improvement)

Boys, 400 IM - 1st place, FLAG Cut

Girls, 50 yard Backstroke - 3rd place (0.62 time improvement)

Girls, 50 yard Freestyle - 3rd place

10 and under Boys, 50 Butterfly - 6th place, FLAG Cut (2.07-time improvement)

Our swimmers raced 11 times and had 7 first place finishes. Every swimmer had at least 1 top time. What an awesome day! Congratulations to all of the swimmers who tried their best to better times.

Congratulations to Darwin Walker who achieved another FLAG cut in the 10 & under Boys 50 yard Butterfly.

Congratulations to Brody Tindoll for swimming one of the hardest events, 400IM for the first time. Brody’s efforts achieved him another FLAG cut.

GTSA’s next meet will be the FLAG Championship Meet next weekend in Orlando, FL.
