GTSA TYR Championship Meet Recap:

GTSA had 83 swimmers participate in the TYR Championship meet last weekend. GTSA placed 6th out of 18 teams in last weekend’s swim meet at Bobby Hicks Pool. The men scored 1025 points while the Women scored 994 points respectively. While both groups scored nearly the same number of points 13-year-old Brody Tindoll and 12-year-old Molly Graham both placed 3rd in their respective age groups for high point award.

 

Point wise, GTSA was led by….

  • Brody Tindoll (13-years-old) with 151 points on the men’s side.
  • Molly Graham (12-years-old) with 140 points on the women’s side.
  • Darwin Walker (10-years-old) with 136 points finishing 5th in his Age Group.

 

GTSA posted two new team records….

  • Brody Tindoll set a new team record in the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of

56.05 and in the 200-yard Backstroke with a time of 2:03.62.

 

On the Men’s side…..

  • Brody also took home 1st place in the boys 13 – 14, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke & 200 Backstroke
  • Nolan Lees (8-years-old) placed 3rd overall in his Age Group with 66 points.
  • Parker Cribbs (10-years-old) had an amazing meet finishing with 92 points.

 

On the Women’s side…..

  • Molly Graham placed 3rd in the 11-12 girls, 100 Breaststroke, 4th in the 200IM, 100 Freestyle & 100 Butterfly. She finished 4th overall in her Age Group.
  • Elysian Kiner (8-years-old) placed 3rd overall in her Age Group with 66 points.

 

GTSA next swim meet will be the weekend of May 4th at Berkeley Prep (short course) for our Age Group swimmers while the older swimmers will compete at Tampa YMCA (long course).
