As a member of USA Swimming, all of our swimmers must have some type of USA Swimming membership. In the past, we have registered our swimmers with either an Annual or Seasonal USA Swimming Membership, depending on when they joined the team. USA Swimming has rolled out a new, less expensive but limited option called the Flex Membership. Here is an clarification of the membership types and an important explanation of how we intend to maximize the value of your membership. (None of this applies to Outreach (Scholarship) members).
Premium Membership: This is the normal annual membership. This membership runs until December 31. There are no meet restrictions. Gold, Silver and Bronze group must registered for this level of membership for the winter season. If you wish to upgrade to the Premium membership, simply click Upgrade Membership during registration.
Flex Membership: This membership also runs until December 31. There are restrictions, however. A swimmer registered on the Flex Membership can only participate in 2 USA Swimming-sanctioned meets. If he/she wishes to participate in more than two of these meets, then he will have to upgrade to a Premium Membership. Also, a swimmer w/FLEX level cannt compete in a meet at the Championship level (Regional / 8 & Under Champs or higher) with a Flex membership.
Seasonal Membership: This is a 150-day membership to cover our swimmers who join during the summer. The only restriction is that a swimmer cannot participate in a meet above the State Championship level on a Seasonal membership, for example, they may not compete at Zones, Futures, Nationals.
Upgrading from the Flex Membership: A swimmer who starts on a Flex Membership may upgrade to a Premium Membership by paying the difference between the two memberships. You CANNOT upgrade from a Flex to a Seasonal Membership.
| US Master membership: USMS provides insurance coverage for all individual USMS members and liability insurance for clubs and workout groups. For the insurance to be in effect, all participants within the activity, such as an organized practice or competition, must be registered with USMS. Sign up for a membership: https://www.usms.org/ |
Please note that if your account has a balance from last season, it must be paid before registering.
Season fees are non-refundable. Changing your mind does not mitigate your obligation to pay the entire season's group fee amount. Illness and injuries are addressed on an individual basis by the DASH Board of Directors; please reach out to a BOD member to request a fee obligation adjustment if this applies to your swimmer.
Multi-swimmer Discount: 3 or more swimmers will receive a 10% discount (Master’s swimmers are not included) *must register all swimmers at the same time.
Additional fees
USA Swimming membership: ALL members must be a USA Swimming member. If not a team member during the preceding winter season, you will need to register your swimmer and pay the USA Swimming membership fee through their SWIMS 3.0 portal. The link will be provided during registration.

Important notes:
- Monthly fees are due the 1st of every month; a late fee of $25 will be charged
- If you are having difficulties meeting your financial or work session requirements, please contact any board member to discuss your situation
You will be billed for five (5) categories of fees throughout the year:
1. Season membership fees:
Membership fees are listed below.
DASH requires all swimmers to have a team swimsuit.
Fall season: season fees include a team swimsuit and T-shirts for all non-High Shcool swimmers. High School swimmers may purchase a DASH suit and shirt on their own through our team store.
Spring season: those swimmers joining in the spring may purchase swimsuits at an additional cost.
Information regarding ordering suits will be emailed out at the beginning of every season.
Two payment options are available: pay in full or monthly, which can be selected during registration. If monthly fees are selected, please be aware that by completing registration you are committing to the entire season's total fees. Monthly payment is an option offered to lessen the financial burden on our families and is not a monthly membership. By signing up you are responsible for the entire season's fees. Season fees are not refundable, except in cases of debilitating injury or illness only.
The DASH board of directors will address any issues surrounding refunds. To have your case addressed please contact a DASH board member.
2. Meet fees:
Swimmers are only charged for the meet and events in which he/she participates. Other fees associated with meets include facilities & program fees. The hosting team determines the cost of participating in the meet and varies from one team to the next. Meet fees are not refundable due to illness or injury.
If you need to change your commitment for the meet after the Team Unify sign-up is closed, you must email the coach AND receive an affirmation response. If the entries have already been submitted to the meet, a $10 cancelation fee will be charged and meet fees will not be refunded.
You will be charged meet fees on the Friday before the meet starts.
Note: Meet fees are set by the host team and may include a “facility” or “spectator” fee.
Those swimmers who qualify for the USA Swimming Outreach program are eligible for reduced meet fees.
3. Work Session requirements:
You will be billed $100 per work session that you have NOT worked.
Our experience is that most families complete all their work session requirements. We will work with you to help you to find ways to meet your commitments. Please communicate with a board member or board treasurer if you need assistance.
Further work session information can be found under the "Parents" tab or click here.
4. Payment fees:
Fees due to processing credit card or ACH payments will be added to your total bill. Please note that ACH processing fees cost less than credit card fees.
To add an ACH payment:
-
log into your DASH account and select "MY ACCOUNT" then "SET UP AUTOPAY"
-
select "ADD BANK ACCOUNT"
5. Fundraising:
DASH hosts several fundraisers throughout the year which helps reduce fees.
In the spring, DASH holds its annual Swim - a - thon in which every swimmer is required to participate. Participation involves asking donors to sponsor them in the event or per how many laps they can swim. All donations are applied to the fundraising requirement. Any balance remaining will be charged to the swimmer's account on May 1st. All participants can "opt-out" of participating by not collecting any donations - your account will automatically be billed on May 1st. The Swim-a-thon is DASH's only mandatory fundraiser.
**A multiple swimmer discount will apply for families: a 10% reduction will be applied to the family account with 3 swimmers or more swimmers
TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNT ALL SWIMMERS MUST BE REGISTERED AT THE SAME TIME
