DASH Fees and Billing

Please note that if your account has a balance from last season, it must be paid before registering.

Injury, illness or changing your mind does not mitigate your obligation to pay ALL fees.

You will be billed for six (6)  categories of fees throughout the year:

1. Season membership fees: The membership fees are listed below. New swimmer fees apply only to those who have never been a DASH member. Season fees include a team swimsuit and T-shirts (Fall/Winter season only). DASH requires all swimmers to have a team swim suit; information regarding swim suit purchases will be emailed out at the beginning of every season. Season fees are not refundable, except in cases of debilitating injury or illness only. The DASH board of directors will address any issues surrounding refunds. To have your case addressed please contact a DASH board member.

2. Registration fee: A registration fee will be applied to swimmers who did not swim on the DASH team the season prior but have been a DASH member in the past. Registration fee is charged per swimmer. Does not apply to new DASH swimmers or college students

3. Meet fees: Each swimmer is charged for the meet and events in which he/she participates along with facilities & program fees associated with the meet.  Meet fees are not refundable due to illness or injury. If you need to change your commitment for the meet after the Team Unify sign up is closed, you must email the coach AND receive an affirmation response. If the entries have already been submitted to the meet, a $10 cancelation fee will be charged and meet fees will not be refunded. Meet fees will be invoiced to your account once sign up is closed. Note: meet fees are set by the host team and may include a “facility” or “spectator” fee. Those swimmers who qualify for the USA swimming Outreach program are eligible for reduced meet fees.

4. Work Session requirements: You will be billed $100 per work session that you have NOT worked.   Our experience is that most families complete all their work session requirements.  We will work with you to help you to find ways to meet your commitments.  Please communicate with a board member or board treasurer if you need assistance.

Further work session information can be found under the "Parents" tab or click here.

5.  Facility Enhancement: As we look to the future of DASH and being able to provide all our swimmers with access to the highest-quality facilities, a facility enhancement fee has been added this year.  The additional fee will be placed in reserve to support our work in upcoming years to plan future facility enhancements and we will keep you informed as that work progresses.

6.  Fundraising requirement: Each swimmer has a $75 fundraising requirement which can be fulfilled by participating in DASH's season fundraiser. All funds raised during the fundraiser will be applied to the swimmer's obligation. If your swimmer does not raise the required amount or you choose not to participate in the fundraiser you will be billed on the first of the month following the fundraiser.

**A multiple swimmer discount will apply for families: a 10% reduction will be applied to the family account with 3 swimmers or more swimmers

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNT ALL SWIMMERS MUST BE REGISTERED AT THE SAME TIME

USA Swimming Membership

AN EXPLANATION OF THE USA SWIMMING MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

ALL USA Swimming membership registration will now be done through their SWIMS 3.0. Link and more info coming soon.

As a member of USA Swimming, all of our swimmers must have some type of USA Swimming membership.  In the past, we have registered our swimmers with either an Annual or Seasonal USA Swimming Membership, depending on when they joined the team. USA Swimming has rolled out a new, less expensive but limited option called the Flex Membership.  Here is an clarification of the membership types and an important explanation of how we intend to maximize the value of your membership.  (None of this applies to Outreach (Scholarship) members).

Premium Membership: This is the normal annual membership.  This membership runs until December 31.  There are no meet restrictions.  Gold, Silver and Bronze group must registered for this level of membership for the winter season. If you wish to upgrade to the Premium membership, simply click Upgrade Membership during registration.

Flex Membership: This membership also runs until December 31. There are restrictions, however.  A swimmer registered on the Flex Membership can only participate in 2 USA Swimming-sanctioned meets. If he/she wishes to participate in more than two of these meets, then he will have to upgrade to a Premium Membership. Also, a swimmer w/FLEX level cannt compete in a meet at the Championship level (Regional / 8 & Under Champs or higher) with a Flex membership.

Seasonal Membership: This is a 150-day membership to cover our swimmers who join during the summer. The only restriction is that a swimmer cannot participate in a meet above the State Championship level on a Seasonal membership, for example, they may not compete at Zones, Futures, Nationals.

Upgrading from the Flex Membership: A swimmer who starts on a Flex Membership may upgrade to a Premium Membership by paying the difference between the two memberships. You CANNOT upgrade from a Flex to a Seasonal Membership.

US Master membership: USMS provides insurance coverage for all individual USMS members and liability insurance for clubs and workout groups. For the insurance to be in effect, all participants within the activity, such as an organized practice or competition, must be registered with USMS. Sign up for a membership: https://www.usms.org/
