SWAT Update, Monday, April 16 2018 Long Course Season is only 18 weeks long! Now that we’ve taken some time to decompress after short course, it’s time to start getting serious about our long course training. SWAT Races to a 13th Place Team Finish at the Northwest Regional Championships With a combined team score of 143.5 points, SWAT finished 13th out of 109 scoring teams this past weekend at the Regional Championships in Federal Way, WA. SWAT Shamrock Shakeup Great showing throughout the age group at the Shamrock Shakeup this past weekend! SWAT had 89 swimmers entered. It was great to see so many of our EWU Teammates at the meet. Congratulations SWAT, 2018 IES Short Course Champions! Scoring a total of 1113 Points combined; SWAT outperformed the competition at the 2018 IES SC Championships. With 39 swimmers, we were the 4th largest team and scored more points per swimmer than any other team at 28.5 points per swimmer. SWAT Jr. Champs this Weekend! Championship season is officially here! Jr. Champs kicks off our end of the season meets this weekend in Clarkston, WA. We are the third largest team going into the meet this year with 34 swimmers in attendance. This is a Championship Prelims/Finals Meet. 23 Swimmers traveled to Federal Way this past weekend for the WA Open. Our swimmers raced hard and matched up well against our upcoming Sectional Competition. This was an excellent mid- season championship meet and a chance for athletes and coaches to see where the swimmers are in their training. This was a long meet and our athletes did a lot of racing with most swimmers competing in 12 or more events throughout the weekend.
