Hello Waves Parents, As you know, the Silver Anniversary Dinner & Auction is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st. In order to make this event a success, we need your help in securing donations. Each swimming group has a designated theme and parent contact. You should have received an email detailing this information. All of our efforts in contacting our friends, families, and enlisting merchants for their donations to our baskets will make this a great fundraiser and a fantastic event! Hello Waves Families, The Waves Store at Whitworth is now fully stocked with swim equipment. Before you go to the internet, support our team and check out the Waves Store. We have fins, hand paddles, pull buoys, mesh equipment bags, caps, goggles, swimsuits (really cute ones), and jammers (awesome designs). All at reasonable prices! We also carry Spokane Waves sweatshirts, winter caps and car decals. The Store is open 5:30-7pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday and we accept cash, check and credit cards. .
Hello Waves Families, The Waves Store at Whitworth is in need of volunteers to help cover the hours it is open. The Store is open three evenings a week (Mon, Wed, & Thur 5:30pm-7pm) to provide you and your swimmer with easy access to purchase affordable goggles, suits, caps, fins, pull buoys, paddles, etc. We can’t run the Store without the help of volunteers. The Starlight Invite in Wenatchee this weekend was a great success despite the long days, hot weather and smokey air. Our swimmers stepped up and preformed. Ethan Ingalls and Andrew Lambert both qualified for Age Group Zones in breaststroke events. Andrew also broke the team record with his 200 breaststroke swim with a time of 3:02.37 Andrew wasn't the only team record of the meet. Drew Kistler also got the record in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:59.73. Jena Kistler rounded out the meet by winning high point...
Summer Gear Is At the Waves Store! New mirrored and tinted goggles are in. Don't let your kids squint through the sunlight at outdoor practices and meets this summer. The Waves Store has a variety of colors and sizes to fit your swimmer. We also have new suits and jammers, fins, gear bags and team car decals. Last year, one individual Girl Scout was able to procure 100 swimsuits for the Make-A-Splash Foundation. Don’t you think the Waves Team could easily double that number? If every swimmer brought just one swimsuit, we could fulfill that request. However, we are far from our goal and there are only three days left! Let’s help those kids that can’t afford a suit, and encourage them to go swimming this summer. Please consider donating generously to this worthy community program. We are off to a great start with the Swimsuit Drive. However, we still need your help. Last year, the Girl Scouts donated over 100 suits to the Make-A-Splash Foundation. Certainly, the Waves Swim Team can double that! As of today, we have 24 girl suits and only 7 boy suits and the deadline is only two weeks away on May 9th during our Swim-A-Thon. How can you help?
