Vandal Aquatic Club is a coach-owned club founded by Head Coach Mark Sowa in 2014. It is a club member of USA Swimming which requires that all our athletes be members of that organization through the Inland Empire Swimming LSC. Your swimmer is part of the same organization that our Olympic athletes and national team swimmers are part of!
Being coach-owned rather than parent-run means that the responsibilities of fundraising, hiring staff, running the organization as a non-profit and balancing the budget do not fall on the shoulders of a parent board. We rely on PARENTS in other ways:
- to serve in volunteer jobs at meets we host
- to support their athletes at competitions and community service opportunities
- to further their knowledge of the sport by becoming officials
- to protect our athletes through Safe Sport parent training
Our COACHES are the secret sauce! They combine knowledge of the sport of swimming with their love of teaching and desire to see our young people succeed – both in the water and out of it. They are all USA-certified coaches and bring a professionalism to the deck that parents and swimmers alike appreciate. Click the Coaches link in the header to read about all our coaches.
