Caps - every VAN member receives a black silicone VAN cap when they join or renew annually as part of their annual fee. Additional caps can be purchased for $15 each or TWO for $25 from your coach. The cost will be added to your VAN account and billed at the beginning of the following month. You can also stock up during annual registration and add extras during checkout.
Shirts and Hoodies - Every VAN member in Competitive Development 2 training group and higher receives a team t-shirt when they join or renew annually as part of their annual fee. Hoodies, tank tops, and shirts for the VAN FANs can be ordered through our
Team Store with DestinationAthlete. We will run a store about three times each year.
Fins are required equipment for all our swimmers. For younger and beginning swimmers they help with stroke development. For older and stronger swimmers they are used for building a powerful kick. We also encourage each swimmer to invest in a couple of pairs of
goggles. A good goggle fit are those that can be suctioned to the eye sockets without a strap and stay in place for 2-3 seconds before popping off. Younger swimmers should look at "junior" models. Swimmers with wide or narrow bridges (between eyes) should try goggles with interchangeable nose pieces to find the best fit. Suits for competition can NOT have any fasteners, ties, or zippers. While only one suit is allowed for competition, exceptions can be made for modesty wear. Check with your swimmer's coach. There are no restrictions for practice suits and a high polyester or PBT fabric content will help the suit last longer.
Team suits are available through our Destination Athlete Fall store. However, a plain black suit is also acceptable.
