ALL BNSC family members are part of the Booster Club!  The club’s purpose is to support the team and to bring family members, swimmers, and coaches together. Meetings are normally held monthly, and topics vary from planning of meets, social gatherings, open discussions, and education from our coaches. Every swim family member is encouraged to attend as many monthly meetings as possible.

Team Support Leaders:   

Booster Club Leader Sydney Dean-Myrda, Chair 
Schedules and leads monthly Booster meetings. Posts meeting minutes on our team website and via emails to family members. Attends Executive Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, and acts as a liaison between the Board of Directors and our families.  

Booster Secretary –  OPEN
Records minutes at monthly Booster Club meetings.  Forwards minutes to the Booster Club Leaders for posting on our website and for email distribution.

Public Social Media Leader  Coach Alexandra McDermott
Updates the BNSC social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram with events, photos, and graphics. 

Safe Sport Cordinator -  OPEN 
Ensures that Safe Sport guidelines are enforced and encouraged on the team. 

Supporting Partner Leader (Sponsorships) – OPEN
Develops supporting partner letter and materials.  Coordinates whole-team effort to find, solicit, and secure team supporting partners.  Assists parents and follows up with supporting partners as necessary.  Formats and secures printing for sponsor advertisements in meet programs for hosted meets.  Purchases sponsorship banners, etc., as needed.  Coordinates thank-you letters and materials for sponsors as appropriate.
 


Hosted Meet Leaders:

Awards Leader – Kelly Hackman[email protected]
Budgets, selects, and orders appropriate ribbons, medals, and trophies for hosted meets and team banquets.

Bullpen Leader  OPEN POSITION
Coordinates, instructs and ensures team has coverage for the running of a Bullpen (staging area) at all 10&U sessions of hosted meets.  Bullpens are not required for ages 11 and up.

Concessions LeaderOPEN
Selects the menu for concessions at our hosted meets.  Responsible for purchasing food and service items or securing donations through team parents as appropriate.  Coordinates set-up and clean-up of concessions area.

Hospitality LeaderOPEN
Selects menu for the hospitality room (complimentary meals, snacks, and beverages for coaches and officials) at hosted meets.  Budgets for and purchases items as necessary or coordinates volunteer donations.  Coordinates set-up and clean-up of hospitality room at hosted meets.

Officiating LeaderOPEN
Coordinates and ensures the team has coverage of officials at hosted and away meets.  Ensures all team officials are up to date on certifications and registrations.  Reaches out to away meet hosts to inform them of our team’s officiating participation at their meet.

Safety LeaderOPEN
Coordinates and ensures the team has Safety coverage for all sessions at hosted meets. Maintains first-aid kit supplies and safety vest supplies. Coaches safety volunteers on priority tasks to ensure safe hosted meets and to prevent injuries.

Timing LeaderOPEN
Coordinates and ensures the team has enough timers and runners covered for required sessions at away meets and for hosted meets.   Volunteers for away meets will have to be coordinated from families attending the away meets.  Maintains and coordinates the use of all timing equipment (e.g., stopwatches, clipboards, sharpened pencils, Dolphin System) at hosted meets.

Volunteer Leader–  OPEN
Leads the recruitment and staffing of volunteers for hosted meet fundraisers.  Keeps track of parent volunteer hours. Ensures that volunteers are identified at hosted meets via lanyards.
