D303 Announces Distinguished Alumni Class of 2025
Four D303 graduates were honored this month as the Distinguished Alumni Class of 2025; Catherine Nosal, MD (SCST Alumni), Todd Bancroft, Anthony Harrions and James J. Miller. The award recognizes District 303 alumni who have demonstrated a high level of achievement in their field of endeavor or in their contributions to the community. This year's class holds professional roles in the fields of medicine, entrepreneurship, law and space aeronautics.
Honorees are selected by the D303 Distinguished Alumni Committee, which is now chaired by Linsday Boynton, a St Charles East High School graduate and North High School teacher. Since the Committee's formation in 1997, a total of 75 alumni has received the prestigious honor.
On Thursday, November 13th at the Lincoln Professional Learning Center the four honorees were recognized.
Catherine Nosal, MD (SCST Alumni), is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist known for her compassionate care, surgical expertise, and leadership in women’s health. She earned a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from the University of Michigan, where she was a four-year varsity swimmer and four-time Athletic Academic Achievement Award recipient. She attended University of Michigan Medical School and completed her OBGYN residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, gaining global experience in Nicaragua, Ghana, and Botswana.
Dr. Nosal provides compassionate and innovative clinical and surgical care while delivering high-quality education to her medical students and residents and advocating fiercely for all women and gender-diverse individuals. She serves as an OBGYN attending at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, consulting Pediatric Gynecology Physician at Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Medical Director of Women’s Health Ambulatory Services at Northwestern.
A dedicated mentor, she was recently honored with an Excellence in Resident Mentorship Award for her commitment to developing the next generation of physicians. Dr. Nosal lives in Chicago, where she enjoys running along the lakefront with her dog, Lucy, and exploring the city’s vibrant street festivals.
