The 2011 New England Swimming Zone’s All-Star team placed 4th overall at the recent 2011 Eastern Zone LCM Championships, held at Penn State University, PA.
The girl’s team placed 3rd overall, led by Kathleen Golding of MST. Kathleen placed 1st in highpoint for the 10 & Under age group. She placed first in 5 events; the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 400 free and 200 IM and 5th in the 100 breaststroke.
Andrea Wei of SAC, placed 4th in highpoint for the 10 & under age group. She placed 1st in the 50 and 100 butterfly, 3rd in the 50 free, 10th in the 100 and 200 freestyles and 5th in the 400 free.
The boy’s team placed 6th overall, led by Brian Poon of PHX who placed 1st in highpoint for the 13-14 age group. Brian placed 1st in 200 Back and the 200 fly and the 400 IM, 2nd in the 100 back, and 200 IM.
Matt Grauslys of ESC tied for 2nd place highpoint for the 13-14 boys. Matt finished 1st in the 200 Free, 2nd in the 1500 Free, 100 fly and 200 fly. He placed 3rd in the 400 free and 6th in the 400 IM.
