About Alex Meyer:

native of Ithaca, New York
swam for Harvard from 2006-2010, and was co-captain his senior year
swam on the US National Team from 2009-2017
First World Championship team was Rome 2009 where I swam the 25K, but I was disqualified by red card with 100m left in the race. I swam the same race again at the 2010 Open Water World Championships and out-touched the defending champion by one second for the win!
2012 Olympic Team: Finished 10th
4-time US National Champion: Open Water 10km (2011, 2013), 5km (2014, 2015)
FINA World Championships: 2010: Gold (25km), 2011: 4th (10km), 2013: 4th (25km), 2015: Silver (25km)
