RECORD BREAKER!!

At the 2023 Winter Junior Nationals – EAST meet there were 6 New England Swimming records broken.

William Mulgrew, SAC: broke two NE Records: On Thursday night he broke the 500 Free record with a time of 4:22.24.  This breaks the previous record time of 4:24.33 set in 2012 by Liam Egan CRIM. On Saturday he broke the 1650 record with a time of 15:05.90, previously owned by Will Barao, ABF, (15:08.64, 2017)

Alexei Avakov, PHX: broke the 17-18 and OPEN record in the 50 breast with a time of 25.18 on Friday morning.  This breaks the previous record time of 25.22 set in 2019 by Andrew Benson SOLO. He then broke the 17-18 and Open 100 Breast record, previously owned by Andrew Benson of Solo (53.61, 2019) on Friday night with a time of 53.48.
