RECORD BREAKERS!
There were 6 NE Records broken this weekend at the 2023 New England Senior Meet at Brown University:
William Mulgrew, SAC, broke the 15-16 1650 record (15:05.90) that he just set last week with a time of 14:48.26. This swim also breaks the NE Boys Open record of 14:56.60 set in 2022 by Josh Parent ABF. William becomes the first male swimmer in the history of NE Swimming to ever go under 14:50 in the mile!!
William also cruised to a record breaking finish in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 8:59.85. This time broke the 15/16 Boys record set in 2017 by Will Barao of ABF.
Mena Boardman, SOLO, broke the 15-16 Girls 100 Free record with a time of 49.37. This breaks the previous time of 49.70 set in 2019 by Natalie Mannion CS
The PHX relay made up of Ariana Zhao, Alexei Avakov, Andrew Kim, and Isabella Schneider broke the 15-18 Mixed 200 Medley relay with a time of 1:36.18. This breaks the previous record of 1:36.72 set by SOLO in 2021.
Olivia Parent, ABF, broke the 11-12 1650 record with a swim of 17:14.56. This breaks the previous record time of 17:16.07 set Eizabeth Beisel MAG in 2005

Mena Boardman SOLO broke the 100 Fly record with a time of 53.38. This broke the record of Anna Boemer SOLO 53.47 set in 2021
William Mulgrew, SAC broke both the 1000 and 1650 meet records with finishing times of 8:59.85 and 14:48.26. These swims broke previous records held by Josh Parent ABF of 9:01.80 set in 2021 and 14:56.60 set in 2022
The 400 Medley relay record was broken by Quinn Caputo, George Groves, Ryan Connors and Garrett Jones, BGSC, with a swimming time of 3:20.31. This broke the previous record 3:20.64 set in 2018 by ABF
