RECORD BREAKERS!

NES Office

There were TWO New England Records broken this past weekend at the 11-14 Championship Meet:

  • Olivia Parent, ABF, broke her own 1650 Freestyle record with a time of 17:07.02.  This breaks her previous record of 17:14.56 set back in December of 2023
  • Caden LaPlante, TCST, broke the 50 Fly record with a time of 24.70.  This breaks the previous record of 24.84 set back in 2018 by Marcel Liu MWYS.  This is the first NE record set by the new Maine expansion of NE Swimming!!

 

There were SIX 11-12 Meet Records set as well:

  • Eli Henley, GS, set two new Meet Records:
    • In the 50 Breast he swam a time of 29.23.  This breaks the previous record of 29.42 set in 2017 by Nareg Minassian, CRIM.
    • In the 100 Breast he swam a time of 1:04.03.  This breaks the previous record of 1:04.25 set in 2001 by Corey Swanson, ABF.
  • Olivia Parent, ABF, set three new Meet Records
    • In the 400 IM she swam a time of 4:33.54.  This breaks the previous record of 4:33.90 set by Margot Levesque, ABF, last year.
    • In the 500 Free she swam a time of 5:06.14.  This breaks the previous record of 5:06.40 set by Abbie Sullivan, SOLO, in 2015.
    • In addition to setting the NE AG Record her 1650 swim of 17:07.02 broke the Meet Record set in 2022 by Margot Levesque with a time of 17:27.60
  • Caden LaPlante’s 50 fly NE record also set the new Meet Record.  His swim of 24.70 broke the previous record of 24.84 set in 2018 by Marcel Liu, MWYS.

There were FOUR 13-14 Meet Records set as well:

  • Sarah Zhang, BGSC, broke two records:
    • In the 100 Breast she swam a time of 1:03.96.  This breaks the previous record of 1:04.85 by Kayla Lilly, SAC, set in 2010.
    • In the 200 Breast she swam a time of 2:17.73.  This breaks the previous record of 2:19.99 by Avery Lord, SSA, set in 2020.
  • Margot Levesque, ABF, broke two records:
    • In the 200 IM she swam a time of 2:04.35.  This breaks the previous record of 2:04.55 by Vivian Moulson, CRIM, set in 2023.
    • In the 400 IM she broke the records twice.  In Prelims she swam a time of 4:17.91 and in Finals she swam a time of 4:17.39.  These broke the previous record of 4:22.56 set by Aislin Farris ABF from 2019.
