Jonathan Feole-Haughey, CRIM, broke two records over the weekend at USA Futures – Richmond

  • He broke his own 100 Backstroke record that he just set at Seniors with a time of 57.68.  His previous record was 57.76
  • He also broke the 200 Backstroke record twice, originally in prelims and then again at finals.  His prelim swim of 2:06.33 broke the previous record of 2:08.22 set by Nathan Delisle ABF back in 2020.  He lowered this record at finals with a swim of 2:05.08

William Mulgrew ,SAC, broke both the 17-18 and Open Boys 800 free record with a time of 7:57.71.  This broke the previous 17-18 record of 8:01.66 set by Erik Vendt, OSS, in 1998 and the Open record of 8:01.48 set by Liam Egan CRIM set in 2016

William becomes the first ever swimmer in the history of New England swimming to break the 8-minute mark in the 800 Free LCM.  This swim also ranked 25th all time in the history of USA swimming for 17-18 year olds.
