RECORD BREAKERS!

The following records were broken at 2024 Winter Juniors East

• Mena Boardman, CS, broke the girls 15-16 100 Fly Record twice.  Her prelim swim of 52.26 broke the previous record time of 52.84 set by Anna Boemer SOLO set back in 2021.  Mena broke the record again at finals with a new time of 52.20
• Mena Boardman, CS, also broke the Girls Open record which was also held by Anna Boemer SOLO at 52.77 set in 2023
• Mena Boardman, CS, broke the Girls 15-16 100 back record with a time of 52.80.  This broke the previous record time of 52.98 help by Elizabeth Beisel from 2008.
• Gerhardt Hoover, CS, broke the Boys 15-16 200 IM record twice.  His prelim swim of 1:47.99 broke the previous record time of 1:48.33 set by Ryan Harty GMSC back in 2012.  Gerhardt broke the record again at finals with a new time of 1:47.84
• The Commonwealth Current Relay of Gerhardt Hoover, George Groves, Nick Cavic and Rudd Day broke the Boys 15-18 AND Boys Open 400 Medley relay with a time of 3:18.28.  This broke the previous record set by BGSC of 3:18.67 set in 2022
