RECORD BREAKERS!

A bevy of records were broken at the New England Senior Meet in December at Phillips Andover Academy!

Mena Boardman, CS, broke the 17-18, Open and Meet record in the 50 Back twice.  Her time of 24.95 in prelims broke the previous record time of 25.08 set by Lindsey Wagner, ESC in 2017.  Mena lowered the record at finals with a new record time of 24.68.
 

Vivian Moulson, CRIM, broke the 17-18, Open NE Record, and the Meet record in the Girls 200 Fly with a new record time of 1:56.19.  This broke the previous record time of 1:56.49 set by Alex Forrester ABF in 2007.
 

Mena Boardman, CS, broke the 17-18 NE Record, and the Meet record in the Girls 100 Freestyle.  Her time of 48.88 broke the previous 17-18 record time of 49.32 set by Natalie Mannion, CS, in 2021 and the previous meet record time of 49.18 set by Rhi Jeffrey, PHX, set in 2014.

Mena Boradman CS broke the Senior Meet 50 Butterfly record in Prelims with a time of 24.12.  This broke the previous record time of 24.76 set by Olivia Trojbam VAS in 2019. 

Mena Boardman CS broke the 17-18 and Open NE Record, and the Meet Record in the 50 Butterfly in Finals with a time of 23.82.  This breaks her Senior meet record time of 24.12 set in Prelims.  This also breaks the previous Open and 17-18 record time of 23.97 set by Aviva Munoz BGSC set in 2018.
 

Enzo Desviat Ruiz, SAC, broke the Senior Meet 50 Backstroke record with a time of 22.46.  This broke the previous record time of 22.60 set by Harry Homans UN in 2019.

Jacqueline Zipagan, ABF, broke the NE 17-18 NE Record, and the Senior Meet Record in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 29.08.  This broke the previous meet record time of 29.19 set by Ella Smith,ABF, in 2019.
 

Enzo Desviat Ruiz,SAC, broke the Senior Meet 50 Butterfly record with a time of 21.67.  This broke the previous record time of 21.88 set by River Wright ABF in 2019.
 

Mena Boardman, CS, broke the girls 17-18 NE 50 Freestyle record with a time of 22.42.  This broke the previous record of 22.79 set by Michaela Chokureva PHX in 2022.
 

Sarah Zhang, REV, broke the girls 15-16 NE Breaststroke record with a time of 2:12.60. This broke the previous record time of 2:13.87 set by Laura Sogar ABF back in 2007.

Gianna Mattrey, SUN, broke two 13-14 NE records: She broke the 50 Butterfly NE record with a time of 25.00.  This broke the previous record time of 25.31 swum by Ksaja Dymock GS in 2014. She also broke the 100 Butterfly NE record with at time of 55.01.  This broke the previous record time of 55.36 swim by Vivian Moulson, CRIM, in 2023.

Caden LaPlante, MMD, broke his own 13-14 NE 50 Butterfly record with a time of 22.36.  This broke the previous time of  22.63 set In November.

The Commonwealth Current 200 Medley Relay made up of Chloe Meyer-Blohm, Ellen Jin, Mena Boardman, and Grace Lunardelli broke the Open, 15-18 NE Records and the Senior Meet record.  Their time of 1:41.85 broke the Meet and Open record times of 1:42.55 set by ABF in 2022 as well as the previous 15-18 record time of 1:42.58 set by PHX in 2021.

The Sunrise Swim Club Mixed 13-14 400 Medley Relay team of Olivia Parent, Cayden Hoang, Gianna Mattrey, and Nolan Xie broke the New England record in a time trial at Seniors.  Their time of 3:46.43 broke the previous record time of 4:16.10 set by PHX in 2021
