The Swim Team Parent Committee ("STPC") is a group comprised of parents coming together to help the coaches create positive experiences for our athletes. Their primary role is to support the coaches by organizing volunteers for UMLY's many events as well as to bring new ideas and ways to improve the athletes' experiences. Congratulations to Alexa Fulton for the first Olympic Trial cut of the year for UMLY in the 50 free!!!
Starting us off strong in the 1650 free, Morgan Harlan dropped 28.35 seconds, moving from 19th seed to 8th overall with a time of 17:58.39. She was followed by equally amazing swims from the UDT (UMLY distance team) of Natalie Krauss and Molly Foltz, who swam huge best times of 18:06.21 and 18:13.95 to place 13th and 14th! In the 200 IM, Devyn Sargent dropped 1.61 seconds to place 5th with a time of 2:21.40. Paige Fisher was .92 faster than this morning, placing 15th with a time of 2:27.35....
In the 400 free, Sarah Fox dropped .99 seconds from her prelims swim to place 22nd with a time of 4:35.38 and Logan Richards placed 4th overall with a time of 4:07.61! In the 50 fly, Alexa Fulton dropped .50 seconds from this morning, placing 2nd with a time of 27.66 and Kenzie Padilla swam 27.80 to place 6th. Maddie Fox dropped .63 seconds to go 29.50 and place 26th. Nick Green won the C final with a time of 25.71. Sam Sperling was 32nd with a time of 27.25....
In the 400 IM, Devyn Sargent dropped 2.93 seconds to swim a 5:04.03 to place 10th. She was followed by Sarah Fox who dropped 3.34 seconds today to place 15th with a 5:14.01. Hadar Miller and Grace Curtis dominated the D final, going 1-2 with a 5:15.01 and a 5:16.11, which was faster than this morning for both swimmers. Jake Nowoswiat swam a best time of 4:45.66 to place 13th!! In the 50 back, Devyn Sargent swam a PB of 29.32 to place 2nd. Flynn Truskett won the B final...
