TUNA Health Guidelines

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our swimmers and their families, which is why we have established guidelines to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all. Below are TUNA's health guidelines:

  • If your swimmer did not attend school due to illness, they should not come to practice or a swim meet until they are well enough to attend school. This will help us prevent the spread of any contagious illnesses and maintain a healthy environment for everyone.
  • If your swimmer has a fever of 100.4° or higher, they should stay home until fever-free without fever-reducing medications for at least 24 hours. This will help ensure that your swimmer has fully recovered from any illness and is not contagious.
  • If your swimmer has been vomiting or had diarrhea, they should stay home until symptom-free for at least 24 hours. This will help prevent the spread of any gastrointestinal illnesses and keep our pool and facilities clean and safe for everyone.
  • TUNA Swim Club will comply with COVID-19 guidelines at all facilities we use, as well as all current state, local, and USA Swimming guidelines. We take this seriously and will do our best to ensure that our facilities and practices are safe and healthy.
  • If your swimmer exhibits COVID-19 symptoms, please follow the information from the Minnesota Department of Health. We will work with you to ensure the appropriate measures are taken to keep our community safe.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy and safe environment for all our swimmers and their families. Thank you for choosing The Tuna Swim Club.
