New Swimmer Information/Evaluations
Evaluations are held for swimmers who have never been part of the WEST Express Swim Club or have not participated in the club during the past year.
Your swimmer should at a minimum be able to swim 25 - 50 yards of freestyle and backstroke comfortably without stopping. They also should be comfortable in shallow and deep water. Generally swimmers are at least 6 years old.
We are not a "Learn to Swim" program.
New swimmers to WEST are required to meet with coaching staff for an evaluation. No swimmer should register prrior to meeting coaching staff. If you have any further questions, please contact Head Coach, Heidi Miler at [email protected]

There will be a quick in the water evaluation and an information session to learn more about joining WEST Express Swim Team.
Information for Swimmers:
- Swimmers should come to the pool wearing their swimsuit and bring a pair of goggles.
Information for Parents:
- Parents must accompany swimmers to the pool.
- Parents must complete the evaluation form.
Team Placement:
- Coaches will place swimmers in groups based on each swimmer's individual abilities.

Practices:
- Practice calendars will be sent out before start of season.
