Dolphins Group:

Practice is three days a week for 40 minutes.

This level is for swimmers who are new to competitive swimming or who are working towards stroke proficiency.  This level emphasizes an introduction to the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) and skills such as streamlining, turns, starts, and circle swimming.

Swimmers entering this level:

 Should have completed swimming lessons through level 4 or equivalent.

 Should be able to swim one length, any stroke, without difficulty.

 

 

Sharks Group:

Practice is 4 days a week for 55 minutes.

This level is for swimmers who have mastered the skills taught at the Dolphin level and are ready to increase the number of days and hours in the pool.

Swimmers entering this level:

 Know the different distances (50, 100, 200, 500 yards/meters) and how many lengths are in each distance.

 Can race all four strokes at the 50-yard and has participated in weekend meets.

 Know the stroke order of the Individual Medley events.

 Can swim all four strokes legally.

 

Age Groups:

Practice is 5-6 days a week for 90 minutes.

This group is for swimmers who have graduated from the Sharks team or are proficient in all four competitive strokes. This level emphasizes stroke technique, skill development, and the introduction to specific training methods.

Swimmers entering this level:

 Have experience in the 200-yard/meter freestyle, 200 Individual medley, and 500 freestyle.

 Proficient in all four competitive strokes.

 Able to complete the assigned practice workout sets.

 

Seniors Group:

Practice is 5-6 days a week for 2 hours.

This group consists of swimmers who have graduated from the Age Group level or have previous experience on a high school team.  The focus is streamlining the four strokes, emphasizing a solid work ethic while introducing and developing a training program appropriate to this level.

Swimmers entering this level:

 Have proven their ability to achieve all required skill sets and demonstrated their ability to maintain a strong work ethic through an intensive workout.
