Hispanic Heritiage Meet - Greenburg, NY Oct 6,7 It was intended to be an easy, early season meet to evaluate our 10 and Unders but apparently no one told them.  16 of our 10 and Under swimmers stormed the Theodore Young Community Center pool and amassed 76 Personal Bests, 12 Silver Champs Qualifying Swims, 32 Top 3 finishes and 4 High Point Awards.  In Addition, 6 Beacon Records and 1 Patriot Records were broken. Please Submit Public Comment to Proposed CDC Pool Regulations   The Center of Disease Control (CDC) government agency is proposing new health codes for aquatic facilities. One is new air quality standards for (indoor) pools, and another is a new minimum depth of 6.7 feet (2 meter) for using starting blocks at swim meets. After last season's minimum depth adjustment to 4 feet, enacted by USA-Swimming, 1,100 pools became unusable for holding swim meets.   Earlier this year, Coach Edgar Perez was named the Metropolitan Swimming Age Group Coach of the year.   On Friday September 7th,  Coach Edgar received his honor at the American Swim Coaches World Convention in Las Vegas Nevada. Edgar proudly received his plaque with many of the top swim coaches in attendance.
