

Gillian has been coaching for over 10 years, the majority being with NASC. She was a swimmer at the high-performance level and has recently completed her Masters in Intervention and Consulation (Applied Sport Psychology) at the University of Ottawa. Gillian loves to see the athletes fall in love with the sport and learn new skills every season, in addition to all of the creativity that comes with choreographing routines and making practices fun and engaging.
Competitive and Novice Coaches
Bridget Moore
Bridget has been involved with NASC for over 15 years as a competitive swimmer and coach. She has coached in a variety of age groups, from 10U to Junior competitive, and has her competition introduction certification. She is also still involved with the club as a masters swimmer, recently competing at the masters World Championships in Japan!
Elise Bordeleau
Ellie has been coaching with NASC for over 10 years with experience in every competitive age group and the most experience in the Junior age category. She swam competitively with NASC for 10 years and is still involved to this day as a masters swimmer. She has her competition introduction certification and her favourite part of coaching is watching swimmers become coaches themselves.
Melissa Gourlay
Melissa has been coaching with NASC for 7 years and has experience in every stream that the club offers, including the Athletes with Disabilities program and Mixed Ability routines. She has a long history as a swimmer with the club and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biochemistry. Her favourite aspect about the club is that it is a place where everyone feels accepted and coaches encourage athletes to become well-rounded people in and out of the pool.
Erin Alizadeh
Erin is going into her second season coaching with NASC, following 4 seasons coaching in London, Ontario and swimming for over 5 seasons at the national level. She has recently completed a Masters degree in Sport Management and Leadership where she did research about developing athletes into leaders. Her favourite part about the sport is the friendships that form from synchro and she enjoys helping athletes build a love for the sport!
Teagan Rodrigues
Teagan has been coaching with NASC for 4 years in the recreational, novice, and competitive streams. She competed at the provincial level with NASC for 6 years and is working towards her competition introduction certification while she studies finance at Concordia University. Her favourite part about coaching is the bonds she forms with the athletes and watching them grow over their synchro careers.
Ariane Downar
Ariane has been swimming competitively 10 years with NASC and Toronto Artistic Swimming at the provincial and national level and is going into her 2nd year of coaching with the club. She previously coached the precompetitive program and is working toward her competition introduction certification. Her favourite part of coaching is making connections with the athletes and spreading her love for the sport to new swimmers!




Clara started as an assistant coach in 2020 and has been coaching with NASC for 2 years in addition to being a swimmer with the club since she was in the 10U age category. She has spent the past season training with GO Capital in their high performance program. Her favourite parts of the sport and coaching is being able to have fun with the creativity of choreography and seeing athletes reaching their goals.


Corinne has been coaching with NASC for the past 3 years as an assistant coach and recreational coach in addition to swimming for 9 years with 7 of those years being in the competitive program. She continues to swim at the junior level and her favourite thinking about NASC is the community between all the club members and how welcoming and kind everyone is.
