Donations positively impact our team's swimmers and families. Helping families financially through team scholarships is important to us and we plan to do this through funds raised. Additionally, donations will help us buy timing equipment and a variety of necessary training aids.
The New England 14 & Under Championships hosts the most competitive teams and swimmers in New England. Shawmut placed 1st with a total of 2,214 points, 321 points ahead of the 2nd place team! This was Shawmut's 2nd New England Championship title this year. Christian Schoen tied the New England record in the 200 meter Butterfly on Sunday July 31st at Finals during 14 & Under Championships. Christian posted a time of 2:25.65! It marked a 12 second drop for Christian and a team record by 6 seconds! Shawmut's 13-14 Girls squad broke their 4th New Record Relay record of the year this past weekend at 14 & Under Championships. Shawmut has 96 swimmers qualified for the New England Long Course Championship Meets this season. Both the New England Open (July 22-25) and the 14 & Under Championships (July 29-August 1) will be held at Harvard University. In the first session at the Southern Sectional meet, held at the University of Florida, Shawmut's 13-14 Girls 200 Medley Relay set the New England record! The team of Sarah Bartholomae, Carly Adams, Molly Pierce, and Abby Benkert posted a time of 2:06.32, breaking the previous New England record by 2 seconds!
