GSCY Places 2nd Overall, GSCY Boys place 1st In Combined Y Festival Results Final YMCA Festival results from all 5 sites have been combined and GSCY Boys took the top spot, GSCY Girls 5th, and our Combined Team placed 2nd overall. Across 5 sites, 119 teams and 1,232 athletes competed. GSCY's first season post-merger was an overwhelming success! Despite closures and restrictions, GSCY athletes had multiple opportunities to race, and the unprecedented season was marked by numerous fast swims. The season's top swims can be found here. GSCY's 49 swimmers are off to a successful start at NJ YMCA Festival in Voorhees, NJ! Through Day 2, GSCY has swum 73 best times, and had 47 swims at finals. It is our pleasure to share that Lou Petto will be joining Greater Somerset County YMCA as our new Director of Competitive Aquatics and Head Coach. Most recently, Coach Lou was Head Coach of the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA for the past six years. Under his leadership, UMLY was most recently recognized in 2020 as a USA Swimming Silver Medal team and one of the top 100 teams in the nation.
