It was another incredible weekend of swimming at the Bergen Barracudas’ Snowflake Meet at Rutgers University. Our swimmers joined hundreds of others from 16 different teams in what turned out to be a busy but successful weekend in the Sonny Werblin pools for all. Congratulations to all of our swimmers who participated in our 3rd Annual Turkey Trials! They ventured outside of their comfort zone this Thanksgiving morning swimming in either the 4000 Free, 4000 IM, 2000 Free, or 1000 Free. Our NJB swimmers had another big pay day(s), this time at the Treasure Island Meet at Berkeley Aquatics in New Providence. They joined the likes of swimmers from LifeTime, Sea Wolves, and BAC for another weekend of fast swimming and fun. Our ‘Cudas hits the blocks again at this season’s Monster Splash meet at the Berkeley Aquatic Center for Excellence in New Providence. Despite some ghoulish competition from the few hundred area swimmers, our 26 attending NJB swimmers swam 63 personal bests, 7 new team records, 8 First Places, and a ton of scary-good times in their 117 splashes! Congrats to our swimmers who competed at the Go for the Gold meet at Raritan Valley Community College this past weekend. Hosted by the Bergen Barracudas, there were a few hundred swimmers from eight teams in attendance over the course of the two-day meet. Whether swimming new events, in new age-groups, or capturing personal best times, our swimmers had a great weekend. After almost 16 months of meets sidelined by COVID, the Barracudas hit the water once again at the New York Sharks July Time Trials at the Goshen Aquatic Center in NY.
