Hi all, Great job to our 47 participating swimmers in our Fall Pentathlon this week! The meet was a great way for our coaching staff to assess where our swimmers are at, for our swimmers to see that for themselves, for our newer swimmers to learn some of the ins-and-outs of competition, and to have a little fun in the process. Times earned at this meet can be used to enter non time-standard meets (not for championship meet cuts). If this meet were a sanctioned one, Gold times would have...

We are hosting an informational Zoom Meeting to introduce our club to potential new swimmers, to inform our returning members of new protocols, and to answer folks' questions. We recommend that anyone joining us read through our Program Guide prior to the meeting to have a foundation for our discussion. Due to the anticipated large number of attendees, we are asking everyone to stay muted so that participants can hear and get the information they require. Please type any questions into the ongoing chat during the meeting and we'll try...
The kids participating in our August session are doing great, as we rolled out some new procedures to make sure we get back to swimming safely. Its been great seeing all the smiles and watching them get back into the groove of things. Thanks for your patience as we navigate acquiring pool time in the COVID age. We have finally finished and published our Fall/Winter Season info. Go to our Fall/Winter tab to learn more. We also plan on hosting a Zoom meeting (in lieu of an in-person parents' meeting)...
After many trials and tribulations, we are excited to announce that we have just acquired a facility and will be offering a mini-session from 8/9/20-9/3/20 in the mornings at Tranquility Valley Retreat Center in Andover. The goal is to get our swimmers reacclimated to the water with an emphasis on reviewing proper technique and incremental conditioning. There will be no competitions. Due to COVID-19 mitigations, time and space are limited during this session; we will unfortunately not be able to offer swim lessons at this time, but plan for them...
Many folks have been reaching out regarding registration info for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. Ordinarily this information would have been published weeks ago, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis we are still waiting on word from our training facilities which all remain closed at this time. As you may be aware, Governor Murphy only recently allowed indoor pools to reopen (with many restrictions); the next steps are for the pool facilities to begin allowing activities to resume, and the local boards of health to be onboard. This issue is...
We are all disappointed in the abrupt and unanticipated end to our short course season due to the current pandemic. While this hiatus from training has been frustrating and disappointing, we are truly saddened for our graduating seniors who had their final season, championship meets, celebrations, and good-byes robbed from them by this terrible virus. This group of graduates took a leap of faith joining our fledgling team and in many ways were instrumental is creating our culture of success. Each one of them has left their mark and will...
A little fun- check out our new NJB 'At-Home' Program video! Thanks to everyone who sent in their videos and pictures! Keep up the good work everyone; hope to see you soon!
Congrats to our own Jake Riva for his story in SwimSwam and best of luck to him at West Point! Check it out: https://swimswam.com/army-west-point-receives-commitment-from-jake-riva/
Hope you are all hanging in there. In our last communication, we were optimistically shooting for a May 1st start, but that’s obviously been put on hold. While we are beginning to hear mumblings of some things restarting, we are simply not there yet. We have a few contingencies lined-up depending upon what the future may bring ranging from mini-season/session, to week-long clinics, to preparing for a fresh new start in the fall. In the meantime, we encourage our athletes to participate in our free “NJB At-Home Program” with wide-ranging...
