Our ‘Cudas brought their magic up to Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY this past weekend for the EZ North Speedo Sectionals. Some of the fastest athletes from about 100 teams within the northeast competed at this year’s meet. The North Jersey Barracudas offer three different opportunities to help swimmers reach their goals in the pool this spring/summer. It was another successful championship meet for NJB as five of our swimmers hit the pool deck at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center at Rutgers University this past weekend for the NJ Swimming 12 & Under Jos. This meet brought together hundreds of the top 12 & Under swimmers from 45 different teams in our LSC. It was a fast weekend of swimming at the New Jersey Swimming 13&Over JO’s at Berkeley Aquatic Center in New Providence. Hundreds of swimmers from 16 teams qualified for and competed at this Prelims/Finals event. Our eight qualifiers had a great showing earning top places, best times, new team records, and more. It was a fantastic showing at this season’s NJ Swimming Silver Bronze Championships at Berkeley Aquatics over the weekend. Our 25 attending swimmers had stellar swims with a bunch of Personal Bests, top places, and a lot of fun in the process! A bunch of our 14&Under swimmers participated in one last meet of the regular season at Scarlet’s February Extra meet at Rutgers over the weekend. They joined swimmers from seven teams to pit their training against the clock in an effort to grab a few more championship cuts. Our swimmers joined competitors from 8 other teams this past weekend at the NY Sharks Winter Frenzy at the Felix Festa Middle School in West Nyack, NY. In what has become known as one of the premier mid-season meets for the region’s finest swimmers, athletes from across New Jersey went head-to-head at Rutgers University for the Holiday Classic XXXIV. There were hundreds of swimmers from 25 different teams competing. Just qualifying for this meet (and getting in) is notable! Hi everyone, There will be some slight changes to the schedule over the Holiday break: Monday 12/20, Wednesday 12/22, Monday 12/27, Wednesday 12/29 - JR, INT, & SR at Blair at the usual times (No TVRC these nights). These changes have been updated in the calendar. Practices will return to normal on January 3. As a reminder, no practices on 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1.
