CDST had 18 swimmers participate in this past weekend’s Junior Olympics Championships held in Pleasanton. Once again, the dolphins showed they have what it takes to compete on the JO Stage! Some major highlights from the meet: In the ten and under girls age group we had three swimmers participate. Clarissa Kung swam in 6 events and posted new personal bests in three, including a new Far Western time in the 100 free. Newsletter (June 11, 2010) o Team Picture Day June 11 at 3:30pm Picture day starts at 3:30pm this Friday (June 11) at American high school. Individual picture will be the first session, and ALL SWIMMERS NEED TO BE AT THE POOL AT 4:30 PM for team picture. WEAR YOUR TEAM SUIT. Eighteen swimmers including relay swimmers participated Short Course Far Western Championship at Morgan Hill last week April 8-11. Weather wasn’t great for perfect performance, but our swimmers did so well. Following are some highlights: Congratulation to Eric Lee , our only 1st winner at Far Western, won the 1st place in 11-12 boys 50 breast on Saturday with time (30.83). 11-12 boys relay team won 2nd in both 200 Medley Relay and 200 yard freestyle relay. Sixty swimmers participated Zone 2 short course championships meet last weekend on Feb 20 & 21 at San Roman. It was a great experience for all our CDST swimmers and parents in raining weekend. Spring and Summer 2010 Practice Schedule Changes Due to limited water space at Calphin indoor pool, we will move to Kennedy and American high school pools for our daily practice starting March 1, 2010. All Gold and Silver groups will be practicing at Kennedy, and Platinum and Elite groups will have to move between two pools according to facility availability. Great Junior Olympic Meet Dec 4-6 CDST swimmer had an excellent swim meet at Junior Olympic meet Dec 4-6 last weekend. It was a 3-day meet Friday to Sunday. The meet started at 9:00am and conclusion of finals was around 6:00pm every day. We had 20 swimmers participated in JO this time, and had so many great swims in freezing cold weather.
