TROPHIES AND AWARDS. Participation and Outstanding Recognition awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony in August. Awards are paid for with registration fees.

Alan Smith AwardThis award recognizes one swimmer who has proven to be an inspirational, respected, and dedicated swimmer who helps others and is looked at as a mentor. 

High Point Award. This award is given to individual swimmers from each age group and gender who have scored the most points for the team over the course of the season. This includes all dual meets, DCSL Championship meet, and County meet (excluded are Time Trials, Orange and Blue, and invitationals Devil Mountain Pentathlon, Woodlands, Crossings Challenge, and City Championship).

Medal Awards Program. This allows each swimmer the opportunity to earn a medal for consistent improvement. A bronze, silver, or gold medal is awarded based on how many improved times (often referred to as popped times) the swimmer achieves over the course of the season. Improved times are counted in all individual strokes (not relays) at any meet or invitational. For example, a swimmer may have 3 improvements in butterfly and 7 improvements in freestyle for a total of 10 time improvements over the course of the season. Medals are awarded as follows:

BRONZE. 5 to 9 improved times
SILVER.   10 to 15 improved times
GOLD.    16 plus improved times

Most Improved. This award is given to individual swimmers from each age group and gender who have shown the greatest improvement over the season.

Stingray Award.  This award recognizes individual swimmers from each age group and gender who have shown good sportsmanship, dedication, and team spirit.

10 Year Award. This award recognizes swimmers who have been members of WCST for 10 years.

5 Year Award. This award recognizes swimmers who have been members of WCST for 5 years.
