Meet Our Coaches

Tristan Keightley- HEAD COACH

My name is Tristan Keightley and I’m incredibly excited to to returning as the Head Coach for the HMR Hammerheads! I grew up in Alexandria, Virginia where I was a member of four swim teams: The Potomac Marlins, Waynewood Dolphins, West Potomac Wolverines, and the Fort Belvoir Swim Team. I graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) where I studied Political Science, Spanish and History. I arrived in Richmond in the fall and am currently working as an ESOL Teacher for Richmond Public Schools.

My favorite stroke is butterfly, but I always loved to compete in IM events the most. My best memories from my own summer swim experience are cheering before dual meets, taking part in pep rallies and competing on relays.

I’m looking forward to working with parents, swimmers and my fellow coaches to put on a great summer program that the whole team can enjoy. See you on deck Hammerhead families!

Alyssa Ludlow- JUNIOR COACH

Hi, I’m Alyssa Ludlow and I’m a student at Atlee high school. I have swam with the high school team for three years now and I have been swimming since I was 6 years old. I have been with HMR for 6 years, and this will be my fourth year coaching and I'm so excited to be back! I can not wait to see everyone again and meet some new faces!

Gabe Sims- JUNIOR COACH

Hola! I'm Gabe Sims and I'm a student at Atlee High School. I am really excited to be returning this summer. I started swimming at age 10 with the Hammerheads when the team started in 2017. I have loved swimming so much that I now swim year round for SwimRVA and swam for Atlee High as well. I am looking forward to coming back as a member of the coaching staff. Can't wait to see everyone!
