Question:  What does my child wear for their first practice?

Answer:  Make sure your child has a sporty swimsuit which for girls is a one-piece suit with no frills or ties.  For boys, this is a speedo or jammers

You will need a pair of swim goggles (without a nose cover)

Swimmers with long hair should wear a cap. The board will have the Team Cap for sale $5 at practices.

Options for purchasing equipment can be found online at swimoutlet.com, amazon.com or visit Personal Best in Montgomeryville or D & J Sports in Coopersburg.

Question:  Does my child need a competition/team suit?

Answer:  It is encouraged to get the team suit; however, if you do not purchase one, they must have a black swimsuit, previous team suit or high school swim suit for swim meets.

Question:  My child has never been on a team before.  Do they have to try out?

Answer:  The coaches are on deck at all times and work with the children on their strokes.  They will be in the pool in their designated practice group (Black, White, Green) and then they will also be in a certain lane given their speed and/or level.  The first two weeks, the coaches make sure that children are safe AND able to swim freestyle (even without perfect stroke) at least one length of the pool.  If for some reason they cannot after two weeks, the coaches will recommend swim lessons for one more year before joining the team and you will be refunded.

Practice groups are determined by the coaches. They take into account experience, age and ability.
