Declaring Availability for a Meet 

We are asking all parents to let the coach know whether or not your swimmer is available to swim for each meet by indicating availability in the Team Unify software.  This can also be done using the On Deck smart phone app.  If you are unable to indicate your swimmer's availability using the software, please let Coach Emily know the status of your swimmer by emailing [email protected].  Please note that for some meets, your swimmer may not be eligible to participate even if your swimmer is available.

The following are the steps for indicating your swimmer's availability using the Team Unify Software.

  1. Click on the "Events" button at the top of the screen.

  2. Scroll down until the event listing the the meet is visible.

  3. Click on the "Edit Commitment" button.  The "Athlete Signup" screen should appear.

  4. Find your swimmer's name at the bottom of the screen, and click on your swimmer's name.  The "Athlete Event Signup" screen should appear.

  5. In the "Sign Record" field at the top of the screen, open up the drop-down, and select either "Yes, please sign [your swimmer's name] up for this event." or "No, thanks, [your swimmer's name] will not attend this event."

  6. If you selected "Yes", additional information will appear on the screen about the event.  Click on the check box indicating that you are signing up for "Day 1/ Session 1."

  7. Feel free to enter a comment in the "Notes" field for the coach.

  8. Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen when done.

  9. Repeat steps 4 to 8 for each swimmer.

  10. Feel free to enter your swimmer's commitment status for other meets by repeating steps 1 through 9.

 

The following are the steps for indicating your swimmer's aviliability using the On Deck smart phone app.

  1. Click on the main menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.  This is an icon that has three horizontal bars.

  2. Scroll down the menu, and select "Events & Meet Entries."

  3. Scroll down until the event listing the the meet is visible.  You should see either an "Edit Commitment" button or a "Declare" button.

  4. Tap on the "Declare" button for the event or tap on the "Edit Commitment" button for the event.  The "Commit by Session" screen should appear.

  5. Find your swimmer's name at the bottom of the screen, and tap on your swimmer's name.  The "Athlete Event Signup" screen should appear.

  6. If your swimmer cannot attend the meet, click on the circle next to the "No, thanks" label.  If your swimmer can attend, click on the circle next to the "Yes, please" label.

  7. Feel free to enter a comment in the "Notes" field for the coach.

  8. If you selected "Yes", click on the checkbox next to the label "DAY 1 | SESSION 1."

  9. Click on the "SAVES CHANGES" button at the bottom of the screen when done.

  10. Repeat steps 5 to 9 for each swimmer.

  11. Feel free to enter your swimmer's commitment status for other meets by repeating steps 1 through 10.
