Head Coach Mason Clark
Coach Mason is a dedicated swimmer with twelve years of competitive experience on local teams such as Rudgear Meadows, Roundhill, Aquabears, and Monte Vista, where he excelled in sprint events. For the past three swim seasons, Mason worked as an assistant coach at Roundhill, helping swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their skills and reach new levels of competitive success. As Head Coach, he is committed to creating a high-performance environment that emphasizes hard work, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport. A UCSB graduate with a degree in human biology and pre-medical sciences, Mason combines his deep knowledge of human physiology with a passion for athletic development. Coach Mason is excited to lead the team in an outstanding 2025 season.

Coach Ari Abbott
Hi! My Name is Ari Abbott, and this will be my fourth year coaching for the Rats! Growing up swimming on the Rats, I loved the cheerful and positive atmosphere, and I intend to bring those same vibes this summer! I can't wait for an exciting summer and GO RATS!

Coach Kevin Cox
I’ve been swimming for the past 17 years of my life.This is my third season as a Rudgear coach and I cannot wait to bring my competitive energy and knowledge of swim to the team! Let’s make this summer one to remember! GO RATS!

Hi my name is Kylie, I've been a part of coaching through Rat Pack for the past three years, and I'm excited to continue my journey as a coach! I've been swimming on the Rats since I was a 6 and under, my favorite stroke is backstroke, and I can't wait to bring spirit to the team this year!

Coach Zach
Hi Rats, I’m Zachary Neitz and I’m super excited to be coaching this season. I have swam for the rats for 12 years and have helped on the pool deck the past pour. Some highlights of my swim career are being a county qualifier for 11 years straight, winning two breaststroke stroke master awards, and receiving two age group MVPs. My favorite strokes are freestyle and breaststroke and I’m a strong believer in hard work, fun, and team spirit. Bleed Green and Go Rats!

Meet The Rat Pack

 
Andrew Pirkle
Hello, I'm Andrew Pirkle. I am 14 years old and going to be a freshman at De La Salle High School in the fall. I have been swimming since I was six, but I am new to Rudgear Estates. I joined the Rats because this team has the best spirit and fun swimmers! When I am working with kids, I want to help them learn to swim better and have lots of fun. My favorite stroke is I.M. My goal is to make lots of memories this summer.


Davie Range
Hello! My name is Davie Range. I’m currently 14 years old and an 8th grade student at Tice Creek. I have been swimming on the Rudgear rats since 2022, and I am exited for my second year of rat pack, and getting to know all the kids as the rat fairy! I love the community and bond everyone at Rudgear has, and it’s welcoming environment to all swimmers. My favorite stroke is freestyle, and my goal for this year is to pop my time in every stroke! 


Hannah Jiang
Hello! I’m Hannah Jiang, I currently go to Las Lomas High School as a 14 year old freshman. I’ve been on the team for 5 years, my favorite stroke is breaststroke. My favorite thing about our team is the close knit community we’ve made, it seems like I’ve met and loved every swimmer on the Rats! I’ll be joining in the summer for my second year back as a Rat Packer, and my swimming goal for the season is to pop my butterfly and breaststroke time! I’m so excited to see everyone at summer!!

 

Zoe Kwan
Hi! I’m Zoe Kwan.  I’m 13 years old and in 8th grade at Tice Creek School. I’ve been swimming for Rudgear Estates since 2021, and this is my first year doing Rat Pack. I am super excited to swim with the younger swimmers  this year. My favorite thing about Rudgear is that I get to hang out with my friends all summer.  My favorite stroke is backstroke, and my goal this year is to improve on my butterfly.
