Coach’s Corner
Wow. Rats! What an amazing performance. We dropped SO MUCH TIME! The races were amazing. Our technique changes were on full display. This meet was a huge success thanks to all of you, the volunteers, the rest of the coaching staff and the board members. I’m proud to say I #BleedGreen after watching that meet. You have a very excited coaching staff.
If I would try to pick a swim of the meet it would come down to about 30 different races. It would be impossible to pick one.
The attitudes, efforts and mindsets that were on display yesterday were the mindsets of a very fast team. Great job. This season is just getting started and we are making huge waves! Congrats Rats!
See you at the pool,
A very Happy Brian and staff!
Meet Calendar Update: WCSC @ REST
We will now be hosting Walnut Creek Swim Club on June 5th. Please update your calendars. (As a reminder, our original meet at WCSC that was scheduled for May 26th is no longer happening.)
Summer Practice Schedule
Tuesday, June 1st is the start of our summer practice schedule! Our Polliwog program begins Thursday June 3rd at 12:00pm.

And we have some great news! With the start of our summer practice schedule, parents/care providers are welcome to sit on the pool deck to watch your child’s practice. Thanks for your patience all spring. Please BYO chair. Masks and social distancing are mandatory until county guidelines change. As with a normal season, please watch practice from a distance and do not interrupt our coaches during practice. Families may only stay inside the pool gate during their own child’s practice. Finally, a friendly reminder that siblings are welcome to play on the grass if it’s not being used for dryland practice. Parents are responsible for supervision. The dirt hill by the grass area is always off limits; please stay on the grass. Thanks!)
Rat Pack
Welcome to the rest of our Rat Pack volunteers that are able to help out this summer! We would love your help beginning June 1 at 11:15am-12:30pm. You or your parent(s) will receive an email/text with more info! A huge shout out to Carlee Davis, Lara Horeczko, and Ryan Mason for their dedicated Rat Pack volunteering all spring!
Family Folders
Family folders are now available. These folders will be where ribbons and important team info is passed on to our swimmers and family. They are organized by last name and located directly inside the pool gate. They will be accessible to all swimmers during practice and to all families at home meets. Please be sure the folders are checked regularly.
PS - Some swimmers have ribbons from 2019 that haven’t been collected yet. We’re sure they’d love to show them off!
National Anthem Performers Needed!
Seeking any RATS able to perform our National Anthem ahead of home meets. Individuals, groups, singing or musical performances welcome! Please sign up at the pool - the poster is hanging on the inside of the fence. Thanks!
Spirit Apparel
The spirit apparel is starting to arrive, yay! Please be on the look out for an email about distribution. Also, we have been hearing that a lot of families are hoping for a second shot at ordering apparel. If we have enough interest, we can reopen the shop for a second run. If you would be interested in ordering RATS apparel, please send Nicole Main ([email protected]) a quick email to let her know so we can gauge if we have enough interest to do a second run.
Family Buddies
We still need more veteran families to sign up to be a new family's buddy. Please fill out this form if you are a veteran family and want to be buddied up with a new family. It's an easy thing to do, a great way to meet new people, and fun way to spread our #BleedGreen spirit.
Make it a great week and GOOOOOOO RATS!!
