Rudgear Rats Conference Week is HERE!
Get ready for a week full of holiday cheer and team spirit as we celebrate “How the Grinch Stole Conference!” Join us July 21–25 for daily themed activities designed to bring smiles, build community, and get everyone pumped for the big meet!
Here’s what’s in store:
Monday: Grinch Treat — Kick off the week with a sweet surprise from our own Whoville elves.
Tuesday: Goals on Grinch Hearts — Swimmers will write down their conference goals on Grinchy green hearts to display their big dreams!
Wednesday: Decorate Your Grinch Hats — Let creativity shine as the kids deck out Santa hats with fun, festive flair.
Thursday: Poster Making — Help us fill the pool deck with spirit by creating fun and motivating posters to cheer on our Rats!
Friday: Friday Fun Day — Our biggest day yet!

This is one of the most spirited and memorable weeks of the summer—you won’t want to miss a single moment!
Conference Shirt PIck Up & Merch Sale
Conference shirts are in! Please pick up your shirt from Ruth on Monday (7/21) from 9:30am-12:00pm.
Want a little extra green to close out the season? Ruth will be on deck this Friday selling all the extra spirit wear we have left. Grab a shirt to rock at Conference or start stocking up for next season!
Time Pop Soda Pop Party!
July 22nd
12:30pm on the grass
All swimmers are invited to celebrate their pops this season at our annual Time Pop Soda Pop Party! Swimmers who earned 10 or more pops will receive special recognition.
Come raise a soda pop and cheers to all our time improvements this season!
Fall Swim
We’re thrilled that Coach Mason is offering a fall swim program at Rudgear this year! The fall clinic will focus on technique, endurance—and of course, fun! We’re also hoping to participate in one or two fall meets.
Check out the details below and stay tuned for registration to open up in a day or so. We will send a stand-alone email when it opens up. When it does open, make sure to reserve your swimmer’s spot. Space is limited, so don’t wait! Our team will have priority registration this week and then the program opens up to all starting 7/26.
Fall Swim Clinic Details
Dates: September 2 – October 23, 2025
Days: Monday–Thursday
Cost: $475
Practice Times (register based on your swimmer’s age for the 2026 season):
– Ages 6–8: 4:15–5:00 PM
– Ages 9–10: 5:00–6:00 PM
– Ages 11 & Up: 6:00–7:00 PM
Conference Subs Reminder
If you are planning on hiring a sub for your Conference meet job - reminder that they must be 18+ years old and must be capable of understanding and carrying out the responsibilities of the assigned job.
Conference After Party – Don’t Miss It!
Join us for the ultimate end-of-season celebration! Right after relays and awards on Sunday, head over to Rudgear Estates for an evening of food, drinks, swimming, and dancing with our amazing Rudgear Fam. All are welcome!

We’re bringing in delicious catered Mexican food, so be sure to opt in and pre-pay by July 23rd if you'd like to join the group meal.
Prefer to bring your own? That’s totally fine too!

Coach Bonus Program
It’s time to show our end-of-season gRATitude to the coaches!
The Rudgear Coach Bonus Program is a tradition our swim team holds to say thank you to our coaches for their hard work each season. The strength of this program is what sets our team apart in our ability to offer compensation packages that retain and recruit amazing coaches.
It has been an incredible season - our swimmers are working so hard towards personal goals and having a blast along the way. Please join me in saying thank you to our coaching staff that has worked so well together to make this season so great!
The Rudgear Coach Bonus Program is primarily made up by family contributions. This season, the suggested family donation is $65, although any amount more or less is greatly appreciated. Donations will be collected through Tuesday, July 29.
There are three ways to donate:
1. Venmo: @victoria-hill2016
2. Cash to Victoria Hill directly
3. Check written to "Victoria Hill" and given to Victoria (Tori) Hill or placed in the Hill family folder. Please write 'bonus' in the memo line.

Rudgear Idol and Pasta Feed - July 24th at 6pm
Calling all RATS! Bring your talents to our Annual Rudgear Idol - a fun talent show where our swimmers can show off their out-of-water skills. All performances will be judged by our amazing coaches, Idol-style! Sign up on the poster at the pool, limited spots remaining!
This event is also a potluck style Pasta Feed. Come for the food and stay for the show!
What to Bring:
-Last Name A-M: Pasta dish in a disposable pan
-Last Name N-S: Salad in a disposable bowl
-Last Name T-Z: Garlic Bread
-BYOB
Plus, ice cream treats will be served after the show!
Photos Wanted
We want to make sure that every swimmer is included in our end of year slideshow. Please submit 2-3 photos and/or videos of each of your swimmers from this season. The photos can be anything RATS-related: swimming, attending a spirit event, cheering, hanging at the pool, etc. Please only submit 2-3 per swimmer.
You submitting these pictures is how we ensure your swimmer is featured in the slideshow. If you do not submit photos, your swimmer will likely not be represented and that would be a bummer!
